The Regulatory Affairs Specialist will provide support to our customers in all segments Flavor, Fragrance, and Technology to ensure that regulatory requirements are fulfilled according to legal and corporate guidelines. 

In this exciting role, you will participate in the following:

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Work with various departments across multiple organizational levels to support all regulatory asks. 
  • Review formulations to ensure compliance to both regulatory and customer requirements. 
  • Provides regulatory guidance during formula development. 
  • Author various technical documents, including, but not limited to: GHS SDS (in different countries/regions), IFRA Statements, Allergen Statements, and Prop 65 Statements. 
  • Process customer regulatory requests and create/provide requested regulatory documents in a timely and efficient manner. 
  • Monitor international, federal, or state regulations for changes that potentially impact Belle Aire Creations formulas. This includes regulations such as TSCA, REACH, and California Prop 65. 
  • Archive/maintain regulatory documents and folder structure. 
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Your professional profile includes:

Requirements, Education and Experience: 

  • Three to five (3-5) years of regulatory experience in chemical manufacturing, consumer products, or similar industry required. 
  • Knowledge of domestic and international regulations/programs including, but not limited to: IFRA, Prop 65, TSCA, GHS, REACH, and various transportation regulations (DOT, IMDG, IATA). 
  • Experience with Safer Choice and PCPC submissions a plus. 
  • Ability to make independent decisions. 
  • Ability to summarize technical data. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • Excellent ability to work with others. 
  • Extremely organized and able to multi-task. 
  • Deadline oriented. 
  • Apply principles of rational systems to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. 
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, visual, or schedule form. 

Education: 

  • Associate (required) 
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred 

Experience: 

  • Regulatory: 5 years (preferred) 

Schedule: 

  • 8-hour shift 
  • Able to work overtime and flexible weekend availability, when required.
