Due to increasing business activity and to further build upon our continued success, Belle Aire Creations is seeking an additional role and are recruiting for a ‘Senior Fragrance Evaluator’ to add to the existing team.
Our Evaluators are olfactive development specialists whose primary goal is to guide perfumers in the fragrance development process. To do so, Evaluators have a strategic view and analyse current olfactive trends, forecast future trends, and assess consumer preferences. You will guide the fragrance development process alongside Account Executives, Perfumers, Marketing, Research, and Application experts.
In this exciting role, you will participate in the following:
Fragrance Development:
- Develop the olfactory strategy for customers, markets, categories, and guide the Perfumery team.
- Manage multiple complex briefs from customers and develop or select fragrances according to the given brief guidelines.
- Establish fragrances to be tested and coordinate with the Belle Aire Creations’ Marketing team.
- Translate Consumer Market Insight research into olfactory guidelines for Perfumers.
- Contribute to the olfactory analysis of new products to identify interesting notes for creative development.
- Develop new fragrances with Perfumers.
- Work with the Application lab for testing product stability.
Positioning and Marketing:
- Anticipate market tastes; work with marketing colleagues on concept generation.
- Write olfactory summaries based on region/market and for the purpose of customers for knowledge-building and sharing.
- Conduct customer presentations/interactions.
- Write fragrance descriptions linked to marketing trends.
Project Management:
- Manage the project pipeline of customer briefs and other internal projects.
- Ensure efficient execution of projects with a focus on improving the win rate, customer engagement, and speed of response.
Customer Engagement:
- Contribute to win briefs by selecting suitable fragrances to meet customer needs.
- Actively participate in meeting customers and the preparation for customer visits.
- Proactively provide the Sales/Key Accounts team with inputs for their account development plans.
Your professional profile includes:
- A Bachelor or University Degree in a relevant discipline.
- 5 years relevant experience in Fragrances Evaluation in any segment and experience having developed winning fragrances for important local or regional or international customers.
- Excellent oral and written proficiency in the English language.
- Evaluation/Application skills: Knowledge of important consumer products categories, product design principles, advanced product and technical knowledge (innovations, manufacturing, stability), ability to dissect a fragrance, offer creative ideas within the project’s scope.
- Consumer understanding: Have experience with market insights, protocols, practices, and a broad understanding of consumers.
- Project Management skills: Manage the time of self and the team to contribute to the successful execution of projects.
- IT skills – Proficiency in using common PC applications
- Excellent presentations skills
